Community and Business Development Lead

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Lead and Community Manager to source and secure new clients. You will be responsible for capturing the imagination and attention of potential clients and getting them excited about what CULT has to offer. Our ideal candidate has exceptional oral and written communication skills and is able to develop engaging content with the ability to moderate online and offline conversations with our community. If you’re great at making new connections or have a strong network of contacts, then you can hit the ground running. We offer a competitive base salary and lucrative commission program.

This role reports directly to the Chief Growth Officer and will be based out of our HQ in Calgary, AB located in Inglewood. Frequent travel within Canada and the USA will be a requirement.

  • Research, identify, prospect, contact and assist in the selling of CULT services to prospects in Western Canada & USA.
  • Work closely with the Chief Growth Officer, Chief Engagement Officers, Engagement Advisors and team members throughout the sales cycle; Facilitate the process from start to finish, bringing in the appropriate resources at the appropriate time.
  • Develop, manage and execute lead generating B2B and content marketing campaigns
  • Set, plan and implement social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies
  • Ability to provide and create engaging text, images and video content for all social media and content marketing campaigns
  • Responsible for managing and handling all incoming and outbound communications in a timely manner
  • Meet income targets for new business
  • Ensure a smooth transition of new CULT clients to Engagement Team
  • Continue to demonstrate expert knowledge of CULT services and proprietary methodologies.
  • Other responsibilities as required
  • Minimum 3 years (preferably 3-5) of consultative sales experience, selling strategy, creative and marketing services to large, national companies
  • Post-secondary graduate in Marketing, Business, Communications or relevant field
  • An active network of contacts/relationships that could potentially benefit from CULT services and solutions
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, and keeping the pipeline full of qualified prospects and establish and maintain pipeline of qualified prospects
  • Ability to prospect and find the senior-level decision makers within an organization
  • Experience launching community initiatives (building and managing online forums, creating email newsletter campaigns, social media management, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Driven, self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Experience with CRM and wordpress software
  • Solid presentation skills, with the ability to think quickly, consultatively, and nimbly when presenting to clients and prospects
  • Good business acumen, with the ability to understand a prospects business in a variety of industries
  • Proficiency with the MS suite of applications including Outlook, Power Point, Excel and Word
